The Skinny Bridge

The Skinny Bridge (“Magere Brug”) is the most famous bridge in Amsterdam. It was built in the late 17th century and is covered with 1200 light bulbs. Since 2003, the use of the bridge has been limited to bicycles and pedestrians. As a drawbridge, it’s still operational and opens up on average every twenty minutes.
